A Fleegle is a hairy rodent that appears in Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!.
Description[]
Fleegles are small, light purple creatures that can be bought as pets. They can squeak, do backflips, and speak a bit. They say "Yum yum!" when they see food they like, "Yuck!" when they see food they dislike, and "Excuse me." when they burp sometimes.
Feeding Fleegles candy will make them want more and more of it, and will keep growing as big as 50 feet tall. They can be shrunk back to small size when fed with carrot juice. When they eat baloney, they'll multiply over a hundred times. What reverses this is unknown.
Fleegles are only known to be light purple. It is never told what they are supposed to eat. Wubbzy's pet Fleegle, Tiny, was only ever seen moving with two legs, suggesting that Fleegles are bipedal.
Looks[]
Fleegles are very hairy. They have hands, oval-shaped ears, a tail, and feet hidden under their hair. Their eyes and noses are black. They're completely light purple, and have darker purple rings on the ears and lines around the bottom, showing their hairy texture.
Appearances[]
The franchise only focused on one Fleegle: Wubbzy's pet, Tiny.
On the show, Tiny only appeared in the episode, Attack of the 50-Foot Fleegle; and the song, Pet Party.
He also appeared in the video game version of the episode on the VTech V.Smile Smartridge, named as his specie, "Fleegle".
In addition, he appeared in an abridged-written version of the episode in the books, Everybody Loves Wubbzy, Kooky Carry-Along Coloring Kit, and Wonderful Wuzzleburg.
He's one of the characters that appeared on the character wheels on Wubbzy's Bilingual Treehouse Laptop.
Lastly, he made cameo appearances on several merchandise. These include on the cover of the books, Wubbzy's Kooky Tail and Everybody Loves Wubbzy; the DVDs, A Tale of Tails and Vol.2; and on the toy package, Disco Dancin' Wubbzy.
Two Fleegles were also shown in a two-part page picture from the book, Wiggly Day. This is a mistake since the franchise focuses on a single Fleegle.
Trivia[]
- The Powerpuff Girls had an episode, called "Pet Feud", about a similar pet named BEEBO, a lifeform that's also small, fuzzy, and grows when it eats a lot. In addition to that, at the end of that episode, giant BEEBO exploded into lots of small ones.
- The Fleegles look similar to Wubbzy's original "Mopsy" design in the series' original comic, The Tail of Flopsy, Mopsy, and Ted.
